Well friends, I think it is safe to say that we conquered New York City.
A few months ago when my best friend/college roommate said that she was going to be in New Brunswick, NJ, for a work conference I said there was no way she was going to be so close and not see me. So we planned a pretty epic girls weekend in NYC! This was Megan’s first time and my second, although my first trip was in high school, and we were in the city for maybe 6 hours and it poured the whole time, so I don’t actually remember too much from it.
I had a comp day at work saved up so I took off on Friday morning on a Greyhound, arriving in NYC around 2:30pm and Megan arrived around 5:30. Our hotel was out in Long Island City (Queens), so we had a pretty easy commute (4 stops?) into the city.
(Also, shout out to my grandparents for letting us have some hotel points!)
We only had about 8 hours of sleep combined on Friday and Saturday night, so I am still recovering during what is turning out to be a pretty busy work week. I took along my nice camera, so I have a lot of great pictures to share once I get sorted through those pictures and the ones on both of our phones.
My plan is to make two more posts, one tomorrow and one on Thursday with more pictures and details, but for now I thought I would share a quick post on many of the random and funny Snapchats that blew up “My Story” this weekend.
